Which estranged couple will be getting it on in Brothers & Sisters

Sunday, September 16th, 2007 on SpoilerBuzz.com

Sourcebrothersandsisters.jpg

Gotta love sex scenes on television, especially those that take place on a household appliance… I’m guessing washer or dryer! Ausiello has the scoop that one of the estranged couples will be doing the dirty tango in the season premiere. Any guesses on which couple?

Marin Hinkle joins Brothers & Sisters

Monday, August 20th, 2007 on SpoilerBuzz.com

Two and a Half Men’s Marin Hinkle has signed onto Brothers & Sisters, playing Sen. McCallister’s (Rob Lowe) ex-wife. Bring on the fireworks! Her character’s name is Courtney McCallister, and let’s just say she’s still feeling bitter about the whole divorce thing.

She is currently appearing in a single episode, but all indications are that she will likely be back for more. Courtney will make her appearance by doing a tell-all interview to a Larry King clone to talk about Sen. McCallister’s bid for the White House.

I don’t know about you, but I think this will be the episode I am most looking forward to!!

Margot Kidder is returning to Brothers & Sisters

Thursday, February 22nd, 2007 on SpoilerBuzz.com

Margot Kidder will be back on Brothers & Sisters in the role she played during the Valentine’s Day episode. She won’t be showing up until May though, near the season’s end, but will still play Emily, the friend of Nora’s.

Joel Grey gives Sarah & Joe marriage counseling on Brothers & Sisters

Sunday, February 4th, 2007 on SpoilerBuzz.com

I love Joel Grey. So I was pretty happy to see he is going to be appearing on ABC’s Brothers & Sisters later this month, and playing a marriage counselor! But which couple in the disfunctional clan will be the receipients of this marriage counseling? We know! Sarah and Joe!

Some intel from the office staff may sway Kitty’s vote about her future with Senator McCallister. Meanwhile, Sarah and Joe dive further into therapy (guest starring Joel Grey as marriage counselor Dr. Jude Bar-Shalom), and Tommy has a chance encounter with a distant relative that will change everything for the Walker family.

I can’t wait! This episode airs Sunday, February 18th at 10pm.

Emily VanCamp joins Brothers & Sisters as love child Rebecca

Wednesday, January 24th, 2007 on SpoilerBuzz.com

Ausiello is reporting (and is pretty ecstatic about it too!) that Everwood’s Emily VanCamp has been cast in the role as the talked-about-but-never-seen Rebecca. As you probably remember, Ausiello has been campaigning for Emily, then word came the part would not be going to her. But Hilary Duff was also being considered for the part as well (fortunately, that didn’t work out either).

No word when Emily’s first episodes air, but according to Ausiello, her first day on the set of Brothers & Sisters is this Friday!

Tonight’s Brothers & Sisters features the first appearance by Happy Days Marion Ross, who has been cast as Nora’s (Sally Field) mother for one episode.

We also have a preview for you for the episode “Something Ida Comes This Way”.

There is also a fantastic scene between Calista Flockhart and Rob Lowe… taking place in a closet with a bottle of red wine. Curious yet?

Scotty returns to Brothers & Sisters for Valentine’s episode

Saturday, January 13th, 2007 on SpoilerBuzz.com

Looks like Scotty (Luke MacFarlane) is returning to Brothers & Sisters for the Valentine’s episode “Valentine’s Day Massacre”. Of course, this comes hot on the heels of Kevin meeting Chad. No word yet if this will be Scott’s only episode or if it marks the beginning of another run on the show but we will keep our ears open!

Photos & spoilers for Jason Lewis character on Brothers & Sisters

Friday, January 12th, 2007 on SpoilerBuzz.com

brotherssistersjasonlewis21.jpg

I think my lust was dashed slightly when I got these photos in my email this morning… I don’t know about you, but I must have had visions of his Sex & the City stud character in my mind, and this character just isn’t it. Maybe its the sweat and the gym thing, but he just doesn’t look like the hottie I remembered. Thoughts?

brotherssistersjasonlewis1.jpg

Jason Lewis will play Chad, a very much in the closet soap opera star. His first episode is this Sunday’s “Sexual Politics”.

Kevin meets a new love interest who isn’t so sure about his sexual identity. Nora and Kitty have been persuaded by a speech sale and they regret it.

I will keep the jury out on him and hope this is just the sweaty gym thing that is tainting my vision and he will still be the Sex hottie I remembered him for!

Superman’s Margot Kidder guest stars on Brothers & Sisters

Friday, January 12th, 2007 on SpoilerBuzz.com

Margot Kidder, best known for her role as Lois Lane to Christopher Reeves Superman on the hit movies, will be paying a visit to the set of Brothers & Sisters for a February sweeps episode.

As for Kidder, she’ll play a character named Emily Craft on “Brothers & Sisters.” The episode, “Valentine’s Day Massacre,” finds Nora (Sally Field) having dinner with a friend (Kidder, presumably) and later taking “a risky ride that could land her in trouble.”

Margot Kidder has also recently appeared on Smallville, Law & Order: SVU and The L Word.

Rob Lowe lets a Brothers & Sisters spoiler slip on Ellen

Thursday, January 11th, 2007 on SpoilerBuzz.com

Well, Rob Lowe pretty much confirmed what we already know… Rob Lowe’s character and Calista Flockhart’s character will be getting it on, hopefully soon!

Rob plays Sen. Robert McCallister on the show while Calista Flockhart plays Kitty. The two meet and sparks start flying when he was a guest on Kitty’s political talk show.

Hilary Duff won’t be on Brothers & Sisters

Thursday, January 11th, 2007 on SpoilerBuzz.com

Whew! According to Ausiello, no deal was made between Hilary Duff and the execs at Brothers & Sisters. Rumors started flying a week ago that Hilary Duff was being tapped to play the love child on the show.

I admit, of all the “teen queen” types in her age group, she is probably the least offensive. Could you imagine if it was Lindsay Lohan instead? Eeek!

Jason Lewis sticking around Brothers & Sisters even longer

Wednesday, January 10th, 2007 on SpoilerBuzz.com

Former Sex & the City model Jason Lewis has had his Brothers & Sisters episode run extended from 3 episodes to 7. So ladies, we will have even longer to ogle him! His role was first announced back in December.

Jason Lewis plays a potential love interest for Kevin, although unfortunately, that won’t be who he ends up with. For that, there will be another character being brought in.

Hilary Duff to join Brothers & Sisters?

Monday, January 8th, 2007 on SpoilerBuzz.com

Ausiello reports that ABC’s Brothers & Sisters is trying to land teen queen Hilary Duff to join the freshman hit as Rebecca, William Walker’s love child. He had previously petitioned for Everwood’s Emily Van Camp in the role, but this alas has been confirmed that Van Camp would not be cast in the role.

Hilary Duff, probably best known as Disney’s Lizzie McGuire (and of course, there are ties between ABC & Disney, if she is feeling any loyalty to the company that made her a star). She has had a few other roles since then such as Cheaper by the Dozen.

We will keep you posted if/when this rumor gets confirmed!

Rob Lowe is here for the season on Brothers & Sisters

Friday, January 5th, 2007 on SpoilerBuzz.com
roblowe.jpgHottie Rob Lowe was originally only signed onto eight episodes on Brothers & Sisters to play Kitty’s (Calista Flockhart) love interest, he is going to be here for the season! He will continue to be considered a “guest star” rather than a recurring or regular series character though.

Lowe plays Sen. Robert McCallister on the show, and the series ratings have gone back up to series highs since he first appeared. His character is running for re-election, and sparks fly when he goes on Kitty’s political talk show.

Brothers & Sisters, now with hottie Lowe for the rest of the season, airs Sundays at 10pm on ABC.

Brothers & Sisters episodes now available online

Tuesday, December 26th, 2006 on SpoilerBuzz.com

ABC has now made available all the previously aired episodes of the Sally Field and Calista Flockheart breakout show available for downloading online. However, it sounds like those episode might only be available until the first new episode after the Christmas break airs, then it will go back to only having four episodes available for download.

So if you need to catch up on some episodes, now is the time to do it!

Marion Ross cast as Nora’s mother on Brothers & Sisters

Tuesday, December 19th, 2006 on SpoilerBuzz.com

Look who is showing up just in time for February sweeps on Brothers & Sisters? Marion Ross of Happy Days fame has been cast in the role as Nora’s mother.

Michael Ausiello has the (unconfirmed by ABC) scoop.

Care to guess who’s been cast as Sally Field’s mom on Brothers & Sisters? Here’s a hint:

Sunday, Monday, Happy Days,
Tuesday, Wednesday, Happy Days,
Thursday, Friday, Happy Days,
Saturday, what a day,
Rockin’ all week with you.

If you guessed Marion Cunningham Ross, you’re right! Although unconfirmed by ABC, sources tell me that Ross has landed the one-episode gig and will show up in February. Her character is described as “tough, obstinate, judgmental, direct and uncompromising.” Happy days, indeed!

And ABC has now confirmed the news with their own press release:

Beloved actress Marion Ross (Happy Days) will guest star as Nora and Sauls not-so-loving mother, Ida, who makes an unwelcome visit to celebrate a milestone in her daughters life in the hit freshman drama series, Brothers & Sisters. The episode, entitled Something Ida This Way Comes, will air Sunday, January 21 (10:01-11:00 p.m., ET) on the ABC Television Network.

Definitely looking forward to this one. And I wonder if she is possibly committed to future episodes as well.

Brothers & Sisters gets sexed up with Jason Lewis from Sex and the City

Tuesday, December 5th, 2006 on SpoilerBuzz.com

Mmmmm, how can you not love Jason Lewis? Lewis, who starred as Smith on Sex and the City, will be guest starring on the ABC show Brothers & Sisters. The episode, titled Sexual Politics will star Smith as Chad Barry, a potential love interest for Kevin Walker. So unfortunately all the female Jason Lewis fans, they won’t see him romance any of the ladies on Brothers & Sisters, but one of the men.

If anyone can pull this off, I think Jason Lewis is the one, especially given his sex god status he received while on Sex and the City. I can’t wait to see this one!

No word on the airdate as of yet, and it appears Jason will only be appearing on the single episode at this time.

Brothers & Sisters stars Calista Flockhart as Kitty, Rachel Griffiths as Sarah, Sally Field as Nora Holden, Ron Rifkin as Saul Holden, Patricia Wettig as Holly, Balthazar Getty as Thomas, Dave Annable as Justin, Matthew Rhys as Kevin, John Pyper-Ferguson as Joe and Sarah Jane Morris as Julia.

Rob Lowe getting back into politics… on Brothers & Sisters

Friday, November 3rd, 2006 on SpoilerBuzz.com

After doing politics on The West Wing, Rob Lowe has signed on with Brothers & Sisters to play, surprise surprise, a politician!

Hottie Rob Lowe will be playing a Republican US Senator who is running for re-election while going through a nasty divorce in California. He will make an appearance on Kitty’s (Calista Flockheart) political TV show, and apparently the sparks will fly.

This role was written exclusively for Lowe by executive producer Jon Robin Baitz, who wrote an episode of The West Wing during Lowe’s tenure on the series. He is currently signed on as a recurring guest role, appearing in six episodes as Kitty’s love interest, but producers are hoping Lowe might be convinced to sign on permanently.

Be still my heart.

Two Walker breakups on Brothers & Sisters

Sunday, October 29th, 2006 on SpoilerBuzz.com

Ask Ausiello has the scoop that not one, but TWO Walker siblings will be splitting with their current partners, and it is all due to happen by mid-season!

Any guesses on who the (un)lucky couples might be? They could go predictable, but then again, the writers just might want to shock the pants off us to keep us watching (and the ratings up).

Hmmm…

Brothers & Sisters airs Sundays at 10pm in the former Grey’s Anatomy time slot.
